Shadow Weaver is a prominent antagonist in the Masters of the Universe franchise, specifically within the She-Ra: Princess of Power spin-off. She is a powerful sorceress and second-in-command to Hordak, the ruthless leader of the Evil Horde.
Originally known as Light Hope, she was a member of the Great Rebellion on Etheria. However, she was corrupted by dark magic, transforming her into the malevolent Shadow Weaver. This transformation resulted in a complete shift in allegiance, leading her to betray the Rebellion and join Hordak.
Her magical abilities primarily revolve around manipulating shadows and darkness. She can create illusions, teleport, and cast powerful spells to hinder She-Ra and the Rebellion. A key element of her character is her adoption and manipulation of Adora, who would later become She-Ra. Shadow Weaver raised Adora to believe in the Horde's cause, masking the true nature of their evil.
